Rice University Academy of Fellows

The Rice University Academy of Fellows provides professional development programming and community-building activities for an interdisciplinary group of invited postdoctoral fellows. The core programming consists of a series of seminars and information sessions held over lunch and led by Rice faculty and subject matter experts. The lunch events introduce Fellows to Rice resources and feature lectures and skill-building activities designed to help postdocs succeed in their current and future careers. The program focuses on developing future faculty, and, thus, the sessions focus on knowledge and skills needed to establish independent careers in academic settings, but Fellows are also encouraged to grow a range of professional skills and are introduced to non-academic careers.
