BIOGRAPHY
I received my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 2016 from Delhi Technological University, India. Then I transitioned into physics and got my master's degree in physics from IIT Bombay, India in 2018. I completed my PhD in physics from Cornell University, USA in 2024. My PhD research focused on modeling dynamics of quantum many-body systems, particularly cold atoms and qubit based quantum simulators.
As a Rice Academy Fellow, I am going to continue my work on quantum many-body systems with Prof. Kaden Hazzard. I intend to pursue research that enables current quantum simulators to reveal interesting dynamical phenomena in gauge theories, and helps us better understand highly entangled quantum states with multipartite entanglement.
Outside research, I stay active by playing tennis, badminton and squash. I enjoy traveling to new places and hiking in national parks. I like cooking, leisure reading and finding efficient methods to use credit card reward points towards vacations.
