BIOGRAPHY
Shruti is a Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Researcher. She majored in Physics at Lady Doak College and later moved to CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), India, for her doctoral studies. Her thesis on lithium-sulfur batteries was conferred the 2020 Best Thesis Award in Physical Sciences by the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), India. Before joining Rice, she worked as a SERB-funded National Postdoctoral Fellow at Prof. Shaijumon's group, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram. Further, she continued her research on solid-state batteries as a Project Scientist from 2020 to 2024.
At Rice, she is ardently engaged in energy research at Prof. Ajayan's Lab, focusing on the design of electrodes and electrolytes for next-generation battery chemistries.
