BIOGRAPHY

My current research examines the role of literary genre in anti-vaccination conspiracies, with the goal of using the tools of literary analysis to sensitively analyze the charged contemporary conversations around vaccines. I have also worked on pain communication and narratives of contagion in contemporary Canadian fiction. I've had a bunch of different jobs in my life, including as a health policy analyst in Canada during the COVID-19 outbreak...but also as a cheesemonger, a film projectionist, a med school coach, and a bellhop, among a zillion other things.
