BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Anzi Dong is a postdoctoral associate at the Center for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Rice University. Her research focuses on the intersection of grassroots feminist activism and labor movements in contemporary China. Her activist scholarship centers on rural migrant women’s resistance to the “Made in China” global factory system and on how they radicalize social services to build self-determined community care to confront structural inequalities. Her research contributes to transnational feminist knowledge production and political activism around anti-violence, reproductive justice, disability care, and community well-being. In her free time, Anzi enjoys reading fan fiction and watching figure skating competitions.
