BIOGRAPHY

Enrico D. Schiappacasse received his PhD. in physics at Tufts University, Massachusetts, USA. He was formed by Mark P. Hertzberg and  Lawrence H. Ford. While Prof. Mark is a worldwide leading expert in axion physics, Prof. Lawrence is an internationally recognized expert on quantum  gravity. After his PhD., Enrico spent a few years as postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China,  and at the cosmological  groups of the University of Jyväskylä and  University of Helsinki, Finland. During this time, Enrico led several innovative projects related to indirect searches of dark matter candidates (axions, WIMPs and primordial black holes) in various well-motivated cosmological scenarios.

Enrico' s expertise spans several physics areas such as theoretical cosmology, dark matter phenomenology, astroparticle physics, and computational astrophysics. He is an expert in Bose-Einstein condensate of axions, holding several highly cited papers which have significantly improved our axion physics understanding.

As a Junior Fellow at the Rice Academy of fellows and Postdoctoral Researcher at the ``Rice Relativistic Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology Group",  he is currently running, together with Profs. Mustafa A. Amin and Andrew J. Long, innovative projects regarding the formation, evolution, and associated astrophysical signatures of compact objects composed of high spin boson dark matter.
